Challenger - Rotative Post Press System

The ability to intelligently and economically integrate many functions in print products is an important differentiating characteristic. Finishing processes and the integration of effective advertising elements (those that increase response), such as individualized prints or detachable labels, are possible only to a limited extent in the conventional process. It’s all different in the Challenger System.

Challenger's advantages over the traditional printing process

• Reel-to-reel production is 20 to 30% faster than reel-to-fold or reel-to-sheet production

• Number of reels: max. 7 (7 x 16 = 112 pages/7 x 32 = 224 pages)

• Speed: 0.5 – 3.5 m/s = 210 m/min. = up to 36000 products 
• Register capacity: Automatic adjustment, electro-optical register, depending on speed +/- 0.2 mm 
• Web processing: All webs are accessible and workable on both sides 
• Additional functions: Finishing with coating can be integrated into digital printing systems; transfer of labels, cards, foils, etc.; special folding and gluing units; lengthwise and crosswise perforation, punching; embossing; interface to binding sets (stitching, gluing); and much more 
• Production specifications: Format: min. 150 x 105 mm; max. 430 x 340 mm depending on web width and crosscutting, Carriers: 40 – 160 g/m2
